Richard "Dick" Geimer, 89, of Tinley Park, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2021. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 22, 1931, son of the late Richard and Gertrude Geimer, and loving brother of the late John "Jack" and Robert Geimer. Beloved and devoted husband of Betty (Falvey) of 63 years. Loving father of Ann Wright, Jean (Michael) Fitzmaurice, Mary (William) O'Neil, Sue (Alan) Reisman, Gail Wolf, John (Cristin) Geimer, William (Mandy) Geimer, and the late Joseph Geimer. "Papa" was also loved by his 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Dick proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After the war, he worked for the National Security Agency. Being a Chicagoan at heart, he decided to return to the Southside, where he met the love of his life, Betty.

He was a faithful parishioner of St. Bernadette Parish in Evergreen Park and usher for Sunday Mass. Dick loved the game of handball and swimming at Evergreen Aqua. He also coached grade school basketball and little league baseball for many years.

Dick worked as a salesman for 60 years, servicing schools and churches with cleaning supplies in the southwest Chicagoland area. He was a graduate of De La Salle High School, and a lifetime Chicago White Sox fan.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the excellent care and comfort given to Richard during his illness to Ewa and Kinga.
